January 16, members of Healthy Lifestyle Sub-club of ANI’s Marneuli Youth Center organized an event"Action against Smoking” to highlight the health risks related to tobacco use and advocate for effective actions against tobacco consumption.

3:00 PM, over 40 young people in Marneuli launched a street campaign to raise peer and public awareness about thedevastating health consequences of smoking as well as the social, environmental and economic implications linked with tobacco use. Engaging the youngsters from schools of Marneuli municipality, the participants of the campaign carried posters and banners to better speak out their message. After the public campaign, youngsters attended a roundtable discussion covering the issues on health implications of tobacco use as well as second-hand smoking.
