Grant competition in frames of The National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia Program

Eurasia Partnership Foundation, in frames of The National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and run by The United Nations Association of Georgia, invites capital-based and regional non-governmental/non-for-profit organizations (including ethnic minority organizations) to submit proposals to further the objectives of the National Concept and Action Plan for Tolerance and Civic Integration.</p> <p>The main goals of the grant competition are:</p> <p>•Improve the environment of tolerance and respect among ethnic, cultural, and religious groups living in Georgia.</p> <p>•Provide every citizen of Georgia with equal opportunities to utilize his/her civil, political, economic, and social rights regardless of ethnic, cultural, or religious affiliation.</p> <p>•Improve or support the establishment/development of necessary conditions for effective participation of minorities in the political, social, economic, and cultural life of Georgia.</p> <p>•Contribute to provision of equal access for minorities to every level of education</p> <p>•Provide support for the preservation of religion, traditions, and cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.</p> <p> There is no geographic limits or priorities, and all applications/proposals will be equally assessed and be awarded for all regions/areas of Georgia where ethnic minority related issues are present. Applicants may propose to focus on geographically-targeted regions or target capital-based government agencies and/or civic institutions.</p>The deadline for the submission of proposals is 5:00 p.m. on August 17, 2009.
