Discussion meeting about justice system reform in Akhaltsikhe

On December 8, 2010 UNA Georgia in cooperation with Ministry of Justice of Georgia will launch a discussion meeting in Alkhaltsikhe State University aims at raising awareness of citizens on the criminal justice system reforms.</p> <p>The meeting will be attended by the representatives of Ministry of Justice, Prosecutor’s Office and Legal Aid Bureaus. The representatives of audience will be given a chance to express their opinions and ask questions.</p> <p>At the meeting, Mr. David Sakvarelidze, a First Deputy ChiefProsecutor, will conduct a presentation about general policy of criminal law reform and will identify the importance of justice reforms for Georgian citizens.</p> <p>After the meeting, the organizers will open an information board at Akhaltsikhe State University where new publications and leaflets about justice reforms will be placed. The population of Akhaltsikhe will have an opportunity to get information about legislation, their rights and current reforms.</p> <p>The discussion meeting will be launched within the frameworks of joint project of UN Association of Georgia and Ministry of Justice of Georgia supported by EU / Human Dynamics.
